Based on the classic children’s story Through the Looking Glass, written in the late 1800′s by eccentric author and mathematician, Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland is a fantasy filled with flowers, animals and objects that sing, dance, recite poetry and play croquet with a crabby Queen of Hearts. Modern technology in entertainment has made this type of fantasy seem common-place to us, with cartooning and move-making by Disney and many others. But when this story was written, not many little girls dreamed of walking through their mirrors into another world! The musical offers many parts for actors of all sizes and shapes, giving everyone a chance to take part in Alice’s dream. Alice in Wonderland is guaranteed to have you using new words like “frabjous,” “brillig” and jabberwocky. Roles available are all the familiar characters: Alice, the White Rabbit, the Cheshire Cat, the Queen of Hearts, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle cards, flowers, animals and more.
