Description

In this dynamic intermediate scene study class, young actors will deepen their performance skills through challenging and diverse scenes performed in pairs or small groups. Students will move beyond the basics as they learn to analyze scripts for subtext, character motivation, relationships, and emotional arcs.

Each week, students will rehearse scenes ranging from 3 to 5 minutes, focusing on refining their technique in areas such as pacing, timing, listening and reacting, character objectives, and power dynamics. Emphasis will be placed on making strong, specific acting choices and exploring character development through vocal and physical expression.

Students will receive regular, constructive feedback in a workshop-style format designed to encourage growth, risk-taking, and collaboration. Memorization, blocking, and partner work will be essential components of the class as students work toward more polished and connected performances.

With a focus on craft, creativity, and connection, this class offers a supportive yet challenging environment for young performers to build confidence, sharpen their acting tools, and grow as thoughtful, compelling storytellers on stage.
