Class Description

Get ready to nail your next audition! Students will prepare their best 32-bar audition song or 1 minute monologue and
get direct feedback from Tucson theater professional, Tyler Wright.
He will lead students through specific techniques to help calm nerves, build confidence, and most importantly,
excel at the art of storytelling through song or spoken word.
Whether you’ve been in several auditions or are just starting out,
students will leave equipped with tools to make a lasting impression
and take every audition to the next level.

Tyler Wright

Tyler Wright studied musical theater at Brigham Young University for three years before pursuing and graduating with a degree in computer science. Since moving back to Tucson, he finds opportunities to perform around Tucson wherever he can. Tyler most recently received MAC and Carmen award nominations for SAPAC's productions of Hot Mikado and [title of show]. He also produced, directed, and starred in Gutenberg! The Musical! which received a MAC award nomination for Best Musical in 2018. He has also been in Godspell at St. Francis Theater and Roadrunner Theatre Company's Triumph of Love, and I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change! Other credits include Arizona Onstage Productions’ Les Miserables, The Story of My Life, and The World Goes Round. Tyler regularly performs with many other Tucson performing groups including The Gaslight Theatre, Khris Dodge Entertainment, Lonely Street Productions, and Mr. Bing's Supper Club.
