Description

Students will dive deeper into the world of theatrical costume design while gaining hands-on experience. This class includes a field trip to the CYT costume warehouse and gives students the opportunity to help create costume looks for CYT’s spring production of The Little Mermaid. Perfect for creative students who love design and want to be part of the storytelling process behind the scenes.

Nina Christenson

Nina Christenson has been has been sewing, tucking, cutting, altering, designing, hacking, attaching, hemming, adding, and repurposing fabrics and costumes for 11 years at CYT Tucson. She enjoys seeing the children on the stage wearing fun costumes. She is also the elementary Spanish teacher at Casas Christian School. Come join the class and learn new skills or improve your current sewing skills.

Location Notes:

There are entrances to the church on Woodland Ave/4th St./Craycroft Rd.. Please park in rear parking lot and walk your student onto church grounds. The site coordinator will be located at the ramada for you to sign in/out.
