Description

 Ever wondered how Disney magic makes its way from the movie screen to the Broadway stage? In this class, students will journey through the history of Disney stage musicals, discovering how beloved animated films are transformed into live theatre spectaculars. Through fun discussions, creative projects, and imaginative exploration, students will become Disney theatre detectives — and will share what they’ve learned in playful, creative presentations at the final showcase. Perfect for students who love Disney, storytelling, and thinking beyond just performing!

Aurora Hunter

Aurora is a CYT alumna (2018) and graduate of Colorado Christian University where she earned her BA in directing and education. Favorite past show credits include Nancy in “Oliver!” (Arts Express), Tzeitel in “Fiddler on the Roof” (Ovation West), Mae Tuck in “Tuck Everlasting” (CCU), and Miss Andrew in “Mary Poppins” (CCU). Aurora recently returned to Tucson after spending the last 3 years working at Walt Disney World. Greater Orlando area and Disney credits include “Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular”, “Powerline Party Pack, Boo To You Parade”, “Candlelight Choir”, and “Hymnsong” (Encore Performing Arts).

Location Notes:

There are entrances to the church on Woodland Ave/4th St./Craycroft Rd.. Please park in rear parking lot and walk your student onto church grounds. The site coordinator will be located at the ramada for you to sign in/out.
