Class Description

This class will focus on the fundamentals of improvisation (short-form) as well as improvisational scene-writing (long form). Through these techniques, we will also explore the different facets of stage comedy, from joke writing to sketch comedy. 
Most of all the program is designed to foster confidence in our students while nurturing the trust and teamwork improv requires. 


Joshua Cicci

Josh Cicci is a 41 year old professional cartoonist in Tucson. He has taught theatre and art throughout the Southwest for 20 years. He has worked in with private and public schools, as well as civic and public health organizations. His students have ranged from first graders to seniors in high school. He was a member of Comedy Corner at the University of Arizona. He was a founding member of the improv/sketch comedy troupes The Monolith Players, The Secret Show and Good Job Dinosaur. He has performed with members of The Upright Citizen’s Brigade, Improv Olympic, Second City and SNL.

Location Notes:

There are entrances to the church on Woodland Ave/4th St./Craycroft Rd.. Please park in rear parking lot and walk your student onto church grounds. The site coordinator will be located at the ramada for you to sign in/out.
