Thea Hinojosa is a Tucson native. She began her own performing journey at age 5, when she discovered and joined Kids Unlimited. When Thea aged out of the program as a teenager, she began teaching classes. She teaches many different levels of jazz, as well as the performing group classes at KU.
In 2016 Thea joined the Tucson community theater scene. Her first experience was as a member of the ensemble and co-dance caption for AZ OnStage’s production of Producers. Thea was cast as Donna Sheridan in PCC’s Mamma Mia in the spring of 2019. Early 2020, she co-directed/co-choreographed SAPAC’s production of Hot Mikado. Co-choreographing Matilda, alongside Kelli Workman, was an absolute blast, working with the students and families at CYT was an unforgettable experience.
Thea has a wonderful husband, Allen, and a beautiful toddler, Adilene, whom she loves very much. Allen, thank you for supporting me in my endeavors and holding it down at home for our family.
