Class Description

In this masterclass,  important strategies will be discussed to use when selecting repertoire for a vocal audition, and how to thoroughly prepare for an audition.  Basic vocal technique and vocal health concepts will be covered. All students will have the chance to learn vocal exercises that can help release tension and perfect their technique. Both the beginning and seasoned performing artists will walk away with useful information to perfect that upcoming audition!
*Parents are welcomed to attend with their students to maximize the educational benefits to assist your child in preparing for an audition.

**Students will need to prepare a 32 bar ( typically, one verse and one chorus) vocal musical theater selection. The student will play the music on one device while viewing the Zoom class on another, i.e. cell phone and laptop. The teacher will give valuable feedback.

**There will be a ten-minute break at midpoint of class.
